Client Review

A complete workflow for agencies: generate design variants, share with clients, collect feedback, and iterate to approval.

Time: ~20 minutes
Result: Client-approved design with documented feedback

Step 1: Create a Client Project

Start with a dedicated project for your client:

  1. Click New Project from the dashboard
  2. Name it "Acme Corp - Homepage Redesign"
  3. Select Web as the project type
  4. Click Create

Keep project names clear — you'll share this with stakeholders.

Step 2: Generate First Variant (Clean Minimal)

Select the Modern Clean preset and type:

Homepage hero for a B2B software company. Professional, trustworthy. Include headline, subtitle, primary CTA, secondary link, and abstract illustration placeholder.

Press Enter.

This creates your first design direction — clean and minimal.

Step 3: Generate Second Variant (Bold Gradient)

With the first node selected, create a branch:

Same content but bold and modern — dark background with gradient accent, larger typography, glowing CTA button

Press Enter.

A branch appears to the right. Now you have two directions to compare.

Step 4: Generate Third Variant (Corporate Traditional)

Select the first node again and create another branch:

Corporate traditional style — white background, navy accents, serif headings, formal and established feel

Press Enter.

Your canvas now shows three variants branching from a conceptual root:

        [Clean Minimal]
              |
    +---------+---------+
    | |
[Bold Gradient] [Corporate Traditional]

Step 5: Open Share Settings

Click the Share button in the top toolbar.

You'll see options for:

  • Share Link — Public or restricted access
  • Collaborators — Invite specific people by email
  • Permissions — Control who can view, comment, or edit

Step 6: Generate a Share Link

Click Generate Link.

A URL is created. Configure the settings:

  • Access: Public (no sign-in required to view)
  • Permissions: View only

Copy the link. It will look like:

https://aiui.zugl.in/share/abc123xyz

Step 7: Send to Your Client

Share the link with your client via email:

Hi Sarah,

Here are three homepage directions for your review: [link]

You can pan and zoom to explore each variant. Let me know which direction resonates — happy to iterate from there.

The client receives a clean, distraction-free view of your work.

Step 8: Client Views the Designs

When your client opens the link, they see:

  • The infinite canvas with all three variants
  • Ability to pan and zoom
  • Preview mode with Shift + Space
  • Read-only access (they can't edit)

No account required. No downloads. Just designs.

Step 9: Add Comment Pins for Direction

Before the call (or in the share), add context using comments:

  1. Click the Comment tool in the toolbar
  2. Click on the canvas near your variants
  3. Add a pin with the question:
Which of these three directions feels right for Acme's brand?
- Left: Clean & minimal
- Center: Bold & modern
- Right: Corporate traditional

The comment pin appears on the canvas, guiding your client's review.

Step 10: Client Responds (If Signed In)

If your client signs in (optional), they can:

  • Reply to comment threads: "I like the bold direction but can we soften the gradient?"
  • Add their own pins: Click specific areas to leave feedback
  • React to designs: Quick feedback without typing

Their responses appear in real-time if you're both viewing.

Step 11: Resolve and Iterate

After the client call:

  1. Click the comment thread
  2. Read the feedback: "Go with bold gradient but use brand purple instead of blue"
  3. Click Resolve to mark it addressed

Now iterate on the chosen direction:

Select the bold gradient node and type:

Update gradient to use Acme brand purple (#7C3AED to #4F46E5), keep the bold style

A new child node appears with the revision.

Step 12: Mark Final as Designed

When the client approves:

  1. Select the final node
  2. Open the node menu (right-click or click the three dots)
  3. Click Mark as Designed

The node gets a visual indicator showing it's approved. This helps you:

  • Track which designs are final
  • Distinguish approved work from explorations
  • Know what's ready for development handoff

Tips for Client Reviews

Generate Multiple Directions: Three is often ideal — enough choice without overwhelm.

Use Different Presets: Vary the visual style to give distinct options.

Add Context Comments: Guide what feedback you need before sharing.

Keep It Simple: Public view-only links reduce friction.

Iterate in Branches: Keep the original visible while exploring revisions.

Resolve as You Go: Closed threads show progress.

Next Steps

After approval:

  • Export designs for development
  • Generate additional pages following the approved direction
  • Use the approved node as context for consistent child pages
